Learning A-Z is offering a FREE subscription to Raz-Kids and/or Headsprout to help learning continue while out of the physical classroom, in light of the coronaviurs. This offer is valid through the end of the school year.
Study Island for Home is an online learning resource that is offering free one year to students.
Scholastic's Learn at Home resources includes four separate learning experiences, each built around a thrilling, meaningful story or video. Scholars can complete on their own and with their families. Just find your scholar's grade level and let the learning begin here.

GRAB-AND-GO BREAKFAST & LUNCH
All NYC public school buildings will be open each weekday to provide New York City children with grab-and-go breakfast and lunch bags each day during our school closure. Grab-and-Go breakfast and lunch will be available at the entrance of every building from 7:30 am-1:30 pm. Any student can pick up breakfast and lunch at any school building until further notice.
Please visit your nearest public school building to pick up breakfast and lunch each weekday. To locate the nearest location, families can visit the NYC Department of Education website (schools.nyc.gov) or call 311.

BROOKLYN NEIGHBORHOOD GUIDES TO FOOD & ASSISTANCE
Hunger Free NYC Produces Neighborhood Guides to Food & Assistance containing detailed information on free food access in Brooklyn & Queens. Users can learn how and where to access SNAP/Food Stamps, WIC, School and Summer Meals, senior meals, soup kitchens and food pantries, and farmer's markets that accept SNAP as payment. The guide also contains a map showing the locations of these sites.
Remote Learning at BVMS
We will launch remote learning on Monday, March 23, 2020.
In order to support this effort we will use Google Classroom to continue education during this time. Please review the following videos to familiarize yourself with the Google Classroom platform.
Please review by Friday, March 20, 2020 in preparation of the launch of Google Classroom. Teachers will reach out with further instructions this week.

Remote learning is a time to build new skills in scheduling your school day. Check out the resources below to get you started!
- Per order of the Governor, the BVMS building will be closed until further notice. Remember that students can use a smartphone or tablet for remote learning. If your child does not have access to any devices, we will be mailing packets home on Mondays starting March 30th.
